Veterans Benefit Improvement Act of 2004	An act that amended portions of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), extending certain reemployment and benefit protections to individuals who are engaged in military service. The act requires that employers extend the period for continuation of health care coverage and requires employers to provide covered employees with appropriate notice of their rights, benefits, and responsibilities under USERRA.

Voluntary Reduction In Hours	Allows employees to voluntarily reduce their working hours as well as their pay for a specified duration. Also used as an alternative to layoff.
